Monster’s most recent poll of UK workers has found that over half (84%) have trouble sleeping on Sundays because they are worrying about the working week ahead and, of that number, 53% experience this every week.

Monster’s most recent poll of workers across Europe has found that only 35% of those polled feel that their companies do enough to encourage new mums back into the workplace. In many cases, “doing enough” only amounts to providing the legally-required minimum maternity benefits.

Monster believes that many people have already broken their New Years promise to themselves to start looking for a new job. This is supported by a 2008 newspaper survey which states that 25% of resolutions will be broken by the end of the first week of January and by the summer; only 46% of them will still be upheld.
