After logging into 'My Monster' you will see the 'CVs' section in the centre of your screen. If you have previously uploaded a CV but not selected your job roles, you will see this alert.

After selecting the CV you want to update (click here if you have not yet uploaded a CV and return to this tutorial later) click on 'Target Job' which is last on the list below 'Go to these CV sections'.

There you will see the industries all our jobs are categorised under. You can tick up to five checkboxes and quickly remove any choices using the red 'x' on the right hand side.

There are over 70 industries you can choose from, so take a look through to make sure you have every angle covered.

Next is your occupation or job role. We've split the available selections into categories to make it easier for you to find the roles you want.

The Monster system intelligently looks at the boxes you ticked in the industry section and only displays results relevant to your selections.

If you can't find the job role you're after or would prefer to search by keyword, use the 'Quick Find' option which crawls for the available job titles.

And that's it.

Remember, the more specific you are with your job role, the more relevant the jobs you're presented with will be, and the more likely you will be to find your perfect job on Monster.co.uk.
